SIPs for Self Build Houses

Kingspan TEK® is our structural insulated panel, or SIP, offering. As a SIP, it is manufactured in a quality-controlled factory exactly to the specific architectural drawings of each individual house. The sophisticated design features and thermal technology in Kingspan TEK® mean it can reach excellent levels of thermal performance, including as low as the Passivhaus Standard. We offer our Kingspan TEK® in four different versions – TEK® 18, TEK® 14, TEK® Plus 13, and TEK® Passiv – the main difference being the level of U-value performance each version can achieve, and also slight variations in the wall thicknesses.

TEK^® 14 has a greater panel thickness than TEK^® 18, which gives a better performaing U-value of 0.14

Kingspan TEK^® 18 achieves a U-value of 0.18, and has the slimmest profile of our SIP offerings, with a wall thickness as low as 345mm (assuming brickwork cladding)
